Monday: Piecewise and Step functions, day 1. Students will understand what a piecewise function is and how the "breakpoint" affects both pieces. Tuesday: Students will be introduced to the Greatest Integer Function. They will learn to evaluate the function by hand and graph it using technology. Wednesday: Substitute: Piecewise and Step practice Thursday: Review Piecewise and Greatest Integer Function Friday: Review piecewise and greatest integer function.

Tuesday: Geometric Series: Students will learn how to add a geometric series, find the total number of terms in a geometric series, and find the first or last term in the series. Wednesday: We will review Arithmetic and Geometric Series and Sequences. Thursday: Students will take an assessment on Series and Sequences Friday: We will begin Composite and inverse functions.

Tuesday: No School, millage vote Wednesday: Continue exploration of series and sequences and work on problems in class. Monday: Students will learn the difference between permutations and cominations and will be assigned practice on both. Tuesday: Students will review the concepts of sample spaces and the counting principle and review for a quiz covering these topics on Wednesday. Wednesday: Students will quiz on Sample Spaces and the Counting Principle. They will also review Permutations and combinations, and use them to develop probabilities and odds. Thursday: Students will work with developing probabilities, using samples spaces, Venn Diagrams and permutations/combinations to calculate them Friday: Students will continue to use various methods to develop probabilities, and will explore conditional probabilities. Planned Assessment on probability is Thursday, May 4.

Tuesday: Students will complete the 39game hitting streak simulation. Friday: Students will explore more characteristics of probabilities, including conditional probabilities.
